We operate a strict code of conduct, and ensure all of our officials are vetted in line with the current Child Protection Policy.

Roles of the Committee

President
Act as Chairman to all AGM's.
Cast the deciding vote when the committee is divided.
Recruiting. Actively seek new members for the club.
Ensure club rules are adhered to, CRB checks, behaviour at club events/meetings.
Supervise the actions of all club reps. This includes correct handling of monies belonging to the club, accurate club records. (Data protection), etc.
Act as arbitrator in disputes at the club.
Be accountable to GCN.

Secretary
Maintain accurate club records. (data protection issues)
Book events/meetings.
Liaise with all members.
Maintain contact with GCN and advise of changes to:- representatives, club rules, location of meetings, meeting times, any unresolved dispute, membership numbers.
Maintain minutes of club Committee meetings.

Treasurer
Maintain accurate financial records. Monies taken, members attending, outgoing expenditure.
Produce these records for the books to be audited once a year.
Provide a statement for the club president, of all financial activities twice a year.
Liaise with the committee for any spending over £50 of club monies. With the exception of book fee’s for the hall.

Committee members
The four untitled committee members will have various duties assigned to them as and when needed by the Club President. These duties will include assisting with the upkeep of the website and forum, assisting with various club projects and ensuring the club venue is kept clean and tidy at the end of a meeting.
